Amedspor marked their first-ever Super Lig appearance in style, brushing aside Erzurumspor 3-0 at Diyarbakir Stadium. A goalless first half gave little hint of what was coming, but the newly promoted hosts turned it on after the break to leave no doubt about the result. The breakthrough came just after halftime as Dia Saba struck in the 53rd minute, then doubled his tally in the 61st. Gökhan Gül added a third in the 70th to complete the rout. There was early controversy too, as referee Halil Umut Meler cancelled an Erzurumspor goal in the 3rd minute after a VAR review flagged a handball, while Saba also had an earlier effort in the 21st minute ruled out for offside. It's the perfect start for Amedspor, who top the early Super Lig table on goal difference in their historic top-flight bow. For Erzurumspor, it's a winless opening weekend and plenty to work on before facing Galatasaray next.
