Vietnam vs Yongin City

Vietnam made it two wins from two in their South Korean training camp, defeating K League 2 side Yongin FC 2-1 in a friendly on July 8. The match had plenty of drama, with the decisive blow coming from a well-taken header late in the second half. Nguyen Hai Long broke the deadlock early, finishing smartly inside the penalty area in the 9th minute. Yongin FC refused to be overrun, pulling level in the 42nd minute just before the break to keep things interesting. Coach Kim Sang Sik rotated his entire lineup at halftime, and it was the fresh legs that made the difference — Nguyen Xuan Son rising to head home the winner in the 75th minute and seal a 2-1 victory. The result hands Vietnam valuable confidence heading into the ASEAN Cup 2026, while also giving Kim Sang Sik a broader picture of his squad's depth. Yongin FC showed they could compete, but ultimately couldn't hold off a determined second-half push.
