Shinnik Yaroslavl beat Leningradets 2-0 at home in round two of the FNL, with a goalless deadlock finally broken late on to turn a tight, cagey affair into a comfortable finish for the hosts. Ilya Azyavin opened the scoring in the 80th minute, and just three minutes later Daniil Martovoy doubled the lead to make it 2-0. Shinnik's Artem Golubyev was booked in the 49th minute, and Leningradets' Nikita Kalugin picked up a yellow in the 72nd, but neither side saw red. For Shinnik, the late double delivers a clean sheet and maximum points to open their home campaign with momentum. Leningradets will be frustrated to have matched their hosts for long periods only to be undone in the final ten minutes, leaving them still searching for their first points of the new FNL season.
