Elversberg pulled off one of the Bundesliga's wildest comebacks, storming back from 3-1 down to beat host Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-3 with a goal deep into stoppage time at Borussia-Park.
Hugo Bolin gave Gladbach the lead in the 11th minute and doubled it before the break (44'), then Joe Scally made it 3-1 in the 56th. Elversberg had replied through David Mokwa in the 29th, before turning the game around after the restart: Maurice Krattenmacher struck in the 66th, Felix Keidel leveled at 3-3 in the 80th, and Krattenmacher completed his brace with the stoppage-time winner. Elversberg coach Vincent Wagner was sent off for protesting a refereeing decision and will miss the next match.
For Elversberg, freshly promoted, it's back-to-back wins to start life in the Bundesliga after also beating Bayer Leverkusen. For Gladbach, it's a damaging collapse that leaves them still searching for their first points of the season.
