Pari NN survived a dramatic first-half comeback from Rotor Volgograd to win 4-2 in the opening round of the FNL season, with five of the six goals all arriving in a breathless spell before the break in Nizhny Novgorod.
Artem Sokolov (31') and Gleb Popolitov (33') put the hosts firmly in the driving seat, only for Emmerson to haul Rotor level with two powerful headers in the 41st and 44th minutes. Pari NN responded almost immediately — Grulev tucking away a penalty deep in stoppage time to restore the lead — before Stanislav Lapinsky put the game to bed with a composed 82nd-minute finish.
