Brentford vs Chelsea

Brentford produced their best performance of the season to dismantle Chelsea 3-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium, turning a cagey, goalless first half into a one-sided rout after the break. The standout moment came from a sharp counterattack that exposed Chelsea's defense once the Bees found their rhythm. Jaidon Anthony broke the deadlock in the 61st minute, heading home after Jannik Schuster nodded back a Mikkel Damsgaard corner. Igor Thiago doubled the lead in the 83rd minute, pouncing on a rebound after Kevin Schade's breakaway effort was saved, before Fabio Carvalho wrapped things up deep into stoppage time. Chelsea pushed for a way back through Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers, and Pedro Neto, but none of their efforts found the net, and there were no red cards or penalties in a frustrating night for the visitors. The result lifts Brentford up to third in the Premier League table under Keith Andrews, a statement result against one of the league's traditional heavyweights. For Chelsea and Xabi Alonso, it snaps a run of draws against Arsenal and Hull City with an outright defeat instead, raising fresh questions about their attacking edge on the road.
