Match Preview

Sunderland's Premier League return faces its sternest test yet as the reigning champions visit the Stadium of Light. Arsenal are chasing a fourth straight league win, while Sunderland hope home form can trouble anyone. The visitors have won five straight across all competitions, conceding just once in the league, capped by a comeback win over Chelsea. Sunderland have been patchier — beating Fulham, losing to Ipswich, and drawing at Brentford — but remain unbeaten in three overall. Martin Odegaard has scored the winner in back-to-back games, with Kai Havertz also sharp. William Saliba is out long-term, and Cristhian Mosquera and Jurrien Timber are doubtful. Sunderland's Granit Xhaka, a former Arsenal captain, pulls the strings, though they're missing Habib Diarra and Romaine Mundle, with Brian Brobbey back to lead the attack. Arsenal's form makes them clear favourites, but Sunderland won't make it easy at home. Our prediction: 1-3
