RSC Anderlecht vs Kortrijk

Anderlecht ground out a narrow 1-0 win over bottom club Kortrijk at Lotto Park, a result that eased some of the pressure after recent defeats but did little to silence questions about the home side's attacking edge. The only goal came in the 43rd minute, Danylo Sikan converting a cross from Ali Maamar after missing a couple of earlier chances. Kortrijk pushed for an equalizer after the break and were unlucky when Goduine Koyalipou's effort cannoned off the post. Yellow cards were shown to Marco Kana and Enric Llansana for Anderlecht, and to Gilles Ruyssen and Rudy Kohon for Kortrijk, but the game stayed free of any real flashpoints. For Anderlecht, the win moved them up to 10th place and offered a bit of breathing room following losses to Union and promoted Beveren, even if the display itself was labelled toothless once the opener went in. Kortrijk, meanwhile, remain rooted to the bottom of the table without a single point through four rounds, their search for a first win continuing.
