La Fiorita's home qualifying tie turned sour early, as UNA Strassen left Serravalle with a comfortable 0-2 win. The visitors were sharp from the first whistle and never really looked troubled once they got their noses in front.
Nicolas Perez opened the scoring in just the 8th minute, tapping home after good work from Omar Natami. UNA Strassen doubled up before the break through Valentin Steinmetz in the 38th minute, set up by Babou Seye. La Fiorita's frustration showed as three of their players — Giacomo Nigretti, Marco Djuric and Alì Molossi — picked up yellow cards while chasing the game back.
It's a disappointing result for La Fiorita, who created little despite a flurry of second-half changes and now face a steep task to turn the tie around. UNA Strassen, by contrast, controlled the match from start to finish and put themselves firmly in the driving seat heading into the next stage of qualifying.
