FC Astana looked to be cruising into the next round after taking an early lead at home, but Dinamo Tirana produced a stunning turnaround, hitting back with three unanswered goals to win 4-1 on the night.
Bauyrzhan Islamkhan had given the hosts the lead from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute, but Bruno Dita levelled the tie from another penalty just five minutes into the second half. Hekuran Berisha put the visitors ahead on the night in the 62nd minute, and Lorenco Vila completed the rout with a stoppage-time strike in the 93rd minute.
The defeat ends FC Astana's run in the competition, a tough way to bow out after winning the first leg. Dinamo Tirana, by contrast, advance to the next qualifying round on the back of one of the most emphatic comebacks of the round, turning a losing position into a convincing statement result away from home.
