Le Havre AC vs Stade Brestois 29

Brest picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory away at Le Havre in this Ligue 1 matchday 3 clash at Stade Océane, with Kamory Doumbia doing all the damage for the visitors. Doumbia put Brest ahead early, converting a penalty in the 12th minute, and doubled the lead just after the restart with a well-taken finish in the 51st. Le Havre fought back and got a lifeline of their own from the spot, with Fofana converting a penalty in the 79th minute to set up a tense finish, but Brest's defense held on through the remaining minutes to see out the result. For Brest, this result ends a run without a win to start the campaign and offers real momentum heading into the next round. Le Havre, meanwhile, remain winless and will be frustrated to have let an early two-goal cushion slip only to fall just short of a comeback, leaving them with plenty to fix defensively before their next fixture.
