FC Twente vs PSV
Match Report
FC Twente pulled off one of the biggest results of the young Eredivisie season, coming from behind to beat defending champions PSV 3-2 at De Grolsch Veste. For long stretches it looked like PSV would walk away with the points, but Twente's late surge flipped the game on its head and cost the visitors their unbeaten start.
Younes Taha put the hosts ahead early in the 14th minute, only for Guus Til to hit back twice in quick succession, in the 27th and 29th minutes, to send PSV in front at the break. Twente kept pushing and were rewarded late on, with Wout Weghorst leveling in the 79th minute before Daouda Weidmann completed the turnaround four minutes later.
The win lifts Twente into fourth place, level on points with PSV in second, and hands the champions their first league defeat of the season. It's a statement result for Twente and an early wobble PSV will want to correct quickly.
