Fortuna Sittard vs AFC Ajax

Ajax put on a statement performance away at Fortuna Sittard, cruising to a 5-1 win built on dominant possession and a standout full debut from Thilo Kehrer, who both scored and set up a goal to earn player of the match. It was exactly the response Ajax needed after their loss to PSV the previous weekend. Julian Brandt broke the deadlock with a left-footed finish in the 35th minute, but Fortuna came out fighting after the break as substitute Anthony Descotte leveled things at 1-1 just a minute into the second half. Ajax quickly seized back control: Kehrer pounced on a rebound in the 62nd minute, then teed up Davy Klaassen for 1-3 in the 73rd. Kasper Dolberg added a fourth in the 79th, and Youri Baas completed the rout deep into stoppage time. The result steadies Ajax's title ambitions, while Fortuna, despite the scoreline, showed enough resilience in that equalizer to suggest they'll remain competitive against tougher sides this season.
