SC Heerenveen vs PEC Zwolle

Heerenveen dominated for an hour without scoring, then Zwolle struck twice in seven minutes to snatch a surprise 0-2 win at Abe Lenstra Stadion. The hosts hit the crossbar and had their keeper's opposite number make big saves, but couldn't convert control into goals. Dylan Mbayo set up both goals. In the 50th minute he crossed for Nick Viergever, who tapped in at the far post to become, at 37, PEC's oldest Eredivisie scorer since Rinus Israël. Eleven minutes later Koen Kostons scrambled home a loose ball for 0-2. Ryan Thomas was booked for simulation, and a late Viergever effort was ruled out for offside. It's Zwolle's first win and first points of the season, following back-to-back losses, and their first away victory in over a year. Heerenveen, unbeaten at home since January, suffer a deflating loss that proves dominating possession means nothing without a finish.
