Guadalajara Chivas delivered a statement win at a rain-delayed Estadio Akron, routing Club Tijuana 5-2 in Matchday 5 of the Apertura 2026. Chivas raced into control before halftime, turning an early rain-soaked delay into a one-sided rout by the final whistle.
Santiago Sandoval headed Chivas ahead in the 23rd minute, and Ricardo Marín doubled the lead in the 31st.
