Venezia vs ACF Fiorentina

Fiorentina finally found their form on the road, riding a stunning hat-trick from teenager Franco Mastantuono to a 4-2 win over Venezia. The Argentine's burst of two goals inside a single minute turned the match on its head and gave new boss Paolo Vanoli an ideal start. Venezia struck first through Akor Adams in the 22nd minute, but Mastantuono replied twice in quick succession, in the 29th and 30th minutes, to flip the scoreline. Mateo Pellegrino added a third for the visitors in the 66th minute before Mastantuono completed his treble in the 84th, deflecting home off the goalkeeper. Antoine Hainaut pulled one back for the hosts in the 86th minute, but it was too little, too late. The win was a much-needed lift for Fiorentina, who had endured their worst start to a season in decades under previous boss Fabio Grosso, and it gave Vanoli three points in his first game in charge. For Venezia, the defeat leaves them still searching for their first points of the campaign.
