ACF Fiorentina vs Frosinone Calcio

Frosinone pulled off a stunning 3-0 win away to Fiorentina at the Franchi, spoiling what was meant to be a celebration — the match fell on the Viola's centenary — and instead handing Fabio Grosso's side a second straight defeat to open the season.

Antonio Raimondo did the damage with two goals, opening the scoring in the 26th minute and adding another in the 68th, either side of Gabriele Bracaglia's strike in the 38th. Fiorentina thought they'd pulled one back when Albert Gudmundsson found the net, but it was ruled out for offside. No red cards were shown, though six players picked up yellows in a feisty affair.

For Fiorentina, it's back-to-back losses following a 4-0 drubbing by Roma, leaving them pointless at the bottom of the table with real questions to answer. For newly promoted Frosinone, under Massimiliano Alvini, it's a huge first win of the season — fittingly earned against the club he once managed.
