Match Report

Lens pulled off a genuine shock at Bollaert-Delelis, beating PSG 1-0 to lift their first-ever Trophée des Champions, grinding out the win while down to ten men for most of the second half. Florian Thauvin broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute, turning home a low cross from Udol at the near post. Things turned when Kyllian Antonio was sent off in the 39th minute for a reckless tackle on Maghnes Akliouche. PSG dominated possession but couldn't find an equalizer, and matters got messier when Nuno Mendes was also dismissed late on for elbowing Skoras. A late Ruiz effort was ruled out for offside, and Ousmane Dembélé squandered a clear chance as Lens held firm. It's a huge statement for Lens, who add this to their Coupe de France triumph and head into the league season with real belief. For PSG, it's a sobering setback before the Ligue 1 campaign even starts.
