Match Report

Tajikistan eased past India 3-1 in a comfortable friendly at the Hisor Central Stadium, with the Blue Tigers' only highlight a stunning late consolation from Farukh Choudhary. Sheriddin Boboev put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot in the 8th minute after Louis Nickson's reckless challenge. Tajikistan doubled down after the break — Karimov headed home from a free-kick in the 61st minute before Ehsoni Panshanbe made it three six minutes later. Farukh Choudhary rescued a scrap of pride with a spectacular long-range free-kick in the 88th minute, capping a night in which Edmund Lalrindika had also picked up a yellow card in the 25th. The result lays bare India's defensive fragility and blunt attack — long throw-ins were their primary creative weapon — while Tajikistan looked composed and clinical on home soil. A second friendly between the sides follows on June 9.
