Match Report
Czech Republic made home advantage count, beating Kosovo 2-1 in an international friendly at Prague's epet ARENA. A dominant first half set up the victory, though a late scare kept the crowd on edge.
Tomáš Ladra headed Czech Republic in front on 12 minutes, assisted by David Doudera. Adam Hložek doubled the lead just before the half-hour mark, converting neatly after being set up by Mojmír Chytil — who had come on as early as the 21st minute to replace the injured Jan Kuchta. Kosovo refused to fold and pulled one back through Lindon Emërllahu in the 80th minute, before Vesel Demaku was cautioned two minutes later as tensions rose.
A solid home win for Czech Republic to build on, while Kosovo will take some encouragement from their second-half resilience, even if the result wasn't what they came for.
