Andorra vs Liechtenstein
Estadi de la FAF
2026
Match Report
Andorra secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Liechtenstein in an international friendly at the Estadi de la FAF in Encamp on Thursday, with a patient second-half display that finally broke down a stubborn visiting defence.
Alexandre Martínez opened the scoring in the 73rd minute with a well-taken finish, and Jordi Aláez doubled the advantage from the penalty spot in the 80th. There were a few flashpoints along the way — Andorra captain Marc Pujol was cautioned shortly before the interval, with Ian Bryan Olivera joining him in the book during the second half. Liechtenstein's Alessio Hasler also collected a late yellow.
The result ends a difficult run for Andorra, who had gone winless through 2026 after losses to Montenegro and Iraq and a goalless draw with San Marino. Liechtenstein head home still searching for the attacking spark needed to trouble better-organised sides.
