Match Report
Almere City produced a stunning second-half comeback to beat FC Den Bosch 2-3 in the first leg of the Eredivisie relegation/promotion playoff. Marley Dors was the hero, finishing off the turnaround with an 88th-minute winner — picking up a yellow card in the celebrations, but few in the away end cared.
Den Bosch had looked in full control after a dominant first half. Sebastian Karlsson Grach opened the scoring on 16 minutes, and Kévin Monzialo doubled the advantage just before the break. The second half told a completely different story. Jamie Jacobs cut it back on 57 minutes, Ferdy Druijf levelled on 65, and then Dors — who also picked up an assist — delivered the knockout blow with two minutes to go.
Almere City head into the second leg with a precious one-goal lead, while Den Bosch now face a must-win away fixture to keep their playoff hopes alive.
