Match Report

PSG delivered one of the most chaotic semifinal first legs in Champions League history, edging Bayern Munich 5-4 at Parc des Princes. Ousmane Dembélé was at the heart of everything for the hosts, scoring twice and helping build what looked like a decisive lead before a frantic German fightback. Harry Kane opened from the spot in the 17th minute, but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia levelled (24') and João Neves put PSG ahead (33'). Michael Olise equalised again (41'), before Dembélé converted a stoppage-time penalty (45'+5) to send the hosts into the break 3-2 up. A second-half blitz — Kvaratskhelia again (56') and Dembélé once more (58') — appeared to settle matters at 5-2. But Bayern refused to fold: Dayot Upamecano (65') and Luis Díaz (68') pulled two back to turn a stroll into a thriller. PSG hold a slender one-goal advantage heading to Munich, but four goals conceded at home raises real questions about their defence. Bayern will arrive at the Allianz Arena convinced a comeback is absolutely on.
