Juventus vs Inter

Inter got the better of Juventus in Perth, closing out their pre-season tour with a 2-1 win in a friendly billed as the first Derby d'Italia ever played on Australian soil. It was a controlled performance from the Nerazzurri, who set the tone early and never really let it slip despite a nervy finish. Federico Dimarco broke the deadlock in the 20th minute with a clinical left-footed finish after being picked out by Ange-Yoan Bonny. Inter doubled their lead in the second half when Andy Diouf converted from a Francesco Pio Esposito setup. Juventus pushed back late, and substitute Francisco Conceição pulled one back in the 85th minute after racing onto a Fabio Miretti counter, but it wasn't enough. Daniele Rugani picked up a yellow card for a rough challenge during the contest. With rotated squads on both sides, the result carries little beyond preparation value, but it gives Inter a confidence boost heading into the new Serie A season, while Juventus will look to sharpen their finishing before competitive action begins.
