Armenia vs Kazakhstan

Armenia and Kazakhstan played out an entertaining 1–1 draw in Yerevan, a friendly settled by two goals just three minutes apart in the second half. A cagey goalless first half offered little hint of what was to come, with only Yan Vorogovskiy picking up a yellow card in the 39th minute for the hosts. Kazakhstan broke the deadlock when Maksim Samorodov found the net on 50 minutes, but Armenia hit back almost immediately — Eduard Spertsyan levelled with a composed finish just three minutes later. Jose Junior Bueno was booked for the hosts shortly after, while Kazakhstan's Arsen Ashirbek was also cautioned, though neither side could find a winner. A fair result for two evenly matched sides: Armenia will take encouragement from their resilience in quickly cancelling out the deficit, while Kazakhstan showed they have the quality to hurt teams on the road.
