Match Report
Anderlecht were seconds away from a damaging home defeat when substitute Ilay Camara struck in the first minute of added time to earn a dramatic 2-2 draw against KV Mechelen at Lotto Park.
Myron van Brederode gave the visitors a shock lead on 15 minutes, only for Nathan-Dylan Saliba to level almost immediately. KV Mechelen regained control when Therence Koudou made it 2-1 on the hour, and it looked enough — until Camara pounced in the 91st minute after a goalkeeping error, sending the Lotto Park crowd into relief. Mechelen saw four players booked on a frustrated evening.
Anderlecht cling onto fourth place and keep their European qualification hopes alive, though the Brussels side remain without a win for a month and are still coming to terms with their Belgian Cup final defeat to Union. KV Mechelen coach Frédéric Vanderbiest summed up the visitors' mood: that 2-2 came out of nowhere.
