Spartak Kostroma vs Shinnik

Spartak Kostroma came from behind to draw 1-1 with Shinnik Yaroslavl in Round 25 of the FNL. It is now three consecutive draws for the hosts, who cling to fourth place but look increasingly short of momentum. Shinnik took the lead through Artur Galoyan on 16 minutes, catching the home defence cold with a well-taken finish. Spartak hit back before the break, however, as Amur Kalmykov levelled on 43 minutes to send the teams in level at half-time. The second half was a scrappy, stop-start affair. Shinnik racked up four yellow cards across the 90 minutes — including one for goalscorer Galoyan — as tempers frayed without either side finding a winner. The point keeps Spartak Kostroma fourth on 38 points, but their inability to turn draws into wins is becoming a real worry. Shinnik sit 12th on 31 points and will rue not holding onto Galoyan's early opener.
