Match Report
Fiorentina produced a dramatic comeback in Poland, beating Raków Częstochowa 1-2 to seal a 4-2 aggregate victory and a place in the Conference League quarter-finals. The standout moment came deep in stoppage time when defender Marin Pongračić spotted the goalkeeper off his line and coolly rolled the ball into an empty net from inside his own half.
Karol Struski had given Raków hope just a minute after the break, firing past the keeper to make it 1-0 on the night. Fiorentina were nearly gifted a lifeline when a penalty was awarded, only for VAR to overturn it and book Jonatan Braut Brunes for simulation.
The visitors drew level on 68 minutes through Cher Ndour, whose strike took a wicked deflection off teammate Roberto Piccoli to wrong-foot the goalkeeper. Piccoli himself had rattled the base of the post moments earlier.
The result sends Fiorentina into the last eight, where they will face either Crystal Palace or AEK Larnaca. For Raków, a spirited effort ultimately fell short against superior quality.
