Match Report
Liverpool produced a stunning Anfield comeback to thrash Galatasaray 4-0 and storm into the Champions League quarter-finals. Trailing 1-0 from the first leg in Istanbul, the Reds needed a response — and delivered one of the most emphatic performances of the season.
Dominik Szoboszlai broke the deadlock on 25 minutes to level the tie, and the floodgates opened after the break. Hugo Ekitike (51') and Ryan Gravenberch (53') struck in quick succession to blow the contest wide open.
Mohamed Salah then capped the night in style on 62 minutes, netting his 50th Champions League goal with a trademark left-footed finish. The Egyptian King's milestone strike sealed a commanding 4-1 aggregate victory.
Liverpool now face PSG in the quarter-finals next month, while Galatasaray's European adventure comes to an end. Anfield has done it again.
