Match Report

Arsenal powered into the Champions League quarter-finals with a dominant 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen at the Emirates, sealing a 3-1 aggregate victory. Two stunning long-range strikes were all it took to end the German side's European campaign. Eberechi Eze broke the deadlock in the 36th minute, smashing an unstoppable effort from outside the box to send the home crowd into raptures. Arsenal were comfortable throughout and never looked back. Declan Rice doubled the lead on 63 minutes with a strike of equal quality, firing home from distance to put the tie beyond doubt. Leverkusen barely troubled David Raya across the 90 minutes, managing just two shots on target. The Gunners now face either Bodø/Glimt or Sporting CP in the quarter-finals next month, with Mikel Arteta's side looking every inch contenders for the trophy.
