Match Report
Colombia signed off their final World Cup warm-up with a 2-0 win over Jordan at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, with Jhon Arias stealing the show.
Arias broke the deadlock in the 41st minute after a precise through ball from James Rodríguez, then doubled the lead ten minutes after the break by finishing a Santiago Arias cross. Jordan had threatened when Mohamed Abu Taha rattled the post in the fifth minute but never built on it. Late drama saw Amer Jamous collect a second yellow for a reckless challenge on Carrascal, ending the match with ten men.
Colombia head into Group K — facing Portugal, Uzbekistan, and DR Congo — in fine form. For Jordan, making their historic World Cup debut in Group J against Argentina, Algeria, and Austria, there is still plenty of work to do.
