Aigle Royal de Moungo vs Panthère

Aigle Royal du Moungo rescued a point in dramatic fashion, equalizing in the 82nd minute to draw 1-1 with Panthere du Nde at the Stade Municipal de Mélong on Sunday in the Elite One. Panthere struck early, taking the lead just ten minutes in and carrying that slim advantage into the break. The visitors looked comfortable for long stretches as Aigle Moungo struggled to create clear-cut chances. With just eight minutes of normal time remaining, the hosts finally found their breakthrough to level the score and send the home faithful into raptures. Four minutes of stoppage time could not separate the sides. The point does little to lift Aigle Royal du Moungo off the bottom of the Elite One table, where they sit on just seven points from twelve matches. Panthere du Nde move to 12 points but will feel this was two dropped after controlling much of the contest.
