São Paulo vs Santos

Santos came from behind to beat Sao Paulo 1-2 at the MorumBIS, with Gabriel Barbosa scoring twice to extend his side's winning streak to five straight league victories. The quickfire response to Sao Paulo's opener was the game's defining moment, flipping the contest in the space of minutes. Luciano had given the hosts the lead in the 34th minute, converting a penalty awarded after Lucas Veríssimo pulled down Ryan Francisco inside the box. Santos answered almost immediately, Barbosa heading home a cross from Everton Cebolinha just two minutes later. Early in the second half, Philippe Coutinho turned provider, setting up Barbosa's 54th-minute winner. No red cards were shown, though several players on both sides picked up bookings. The win lifts Santos to 41 points and keeps their surge up the table rolling, with the club now closing in on the Brasileirao's top bracket. For Sao Paulo, it's a missed chance to climb away from mid-table, leaving them stuck on 36 points and facing a frustrating run of form at home.
