Bahia vs RB Bragantino
Match Report
Bahia made it a perfect night at the Arena Fonte Nova, beating Red Bull Bragantino 2-0 in a dominant first-half display to claim their first home win of the Brasileirão. Two goals before the break were enough to seal all three points and extend the Tricolor's unbeaten start to the season.
Luciano Juba opened the scoring on 16 minutes, latching onto a clever heel flick from Jean Lucas and curling a first-time effort over goalkeeper Tiago Volpi. The lead was doubled in the 39th minute when a low cross from Erick Pulga was deflected by Cauê straight into the path of Erick, who made no mistake from close range.
Bragantino offered little in response and rarely troubled the home defence across 90 minutes.
The win lifts Bahia into third place on 14 points, firmly inside the G-4 and still unbeaten after seven rounds. Bragantino, stuck on eight points, slip further into mid-table and will need to find form quickly as the season picks up pace.
