Mirassol vs Santos

Gabriel Barbosa scored twice in the final 11 minutes to rescue a dramatic 2-2 draw for Santos against Mirassol at the Estádio Campos Maia in Round 5 of the Brasileirão. The hosts took control early when Igor Formiga headed home Alesson's cross on 20 minutes. Negueba then doubled Mirassol's lead on 70 minutes, finishing off a pass from Shaylon, and the home side looked set for all three points. But Gabigol had other ideas. He pounced on a defensive error in the 79th minute to fire into the corner, then coolly converted a VAR-awarded penalty in the 87th to complete a stunning comeback under the watchful eye of Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti. The draw leaves Santos 11th with five points, while Mirassol will be kicking themselves after throwing away a two-goal cushion at home.
