Central Córdoba snatched a 1-0 victory over Deportivo Riestra in Santiago del Estero thanks to a dramatic first-half stoppage-time goal from Ezequiel Naya. The forward burst down the left flank and beat goalkeeper Ignacio Arce with a low, curling finish to the far post in the 45'+2 minute. Riestra were arguably the better side for large stretches, creating the clearer openings. Antony Alonso squandered the visitors' best chance when he found himself unmarked in front of goal but fired wide. Despite their dominance in possession, Riestra simply could not find the net. The result lifts Central Córdoba to 12 points in Zone A of the Apertura, climbing from 11th place and closing the gap on the playoff spots.
