Huracán vs River Plate
Match Report
River Plate launched the Eduardo Coudet era with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Huracán at the Ducó in a match that featured three penalties, two red cards and nine minutes of stoppage time.
Sebastián Driussi gave the visitors the lead on 26 minutes, heading home from a Gonzalo Montiel cross. Huracán levelled just before half-time when Jordy Caicedo converted from the spot after Lucas Martínez Quarta fouled him in the area.
The second half turned feral. Juan Fernando Quintero's penalty was saved by Hernán Galíndez, then Facundo Colidio and Lucas Carrizo were both red-carded for an altercation during a VAR review. Montiel buried the resulting penalty to make it 1-2 on 84 minutes.
The result lifts River to fifth in Group B on 14 points, while Huracán remain eighth with 12. A chaotic but successful start for Coudet.
