Match Report

Minnesota United and Seattle Sounders played out a cagey 0-0 draw at Allianz Field on Sunday, with both goalkeepers stealing the show to keep the scoresheet blank. Drake Callender produced the save of the match on 30 minutes, getting fingertips to Cristian Roldan's curling strike and tipping it onto the crossbar. The Sounders had the better of possession but couldn't find a breakthrough. Osaze De Rosario was denied a tap-in by Callender in the 37th minute, while at the other end Andrew Thomas kept out Kelvin Yeboah's close-range effort just before halftime, with Jackson Ragen mopping up the rebound. Jordan Morris made his return from a quad injury off the bench on 65 minutes but couldn't provide the spark Seattle needed. The draw extends the Sounders' unbeaten run to four matches and gives them a fourth shutout in five games this season. For Minnesota, a clean sheet is a welcome boost after being outscored 9-1 across their previous two road defeats.
