Al Okhdood ended their Saudi Pro League season on a winning note, beating Al Khaleej 3-1 in Round 33 at Prince Hathloul Stadium in Najran. Christian Bassogog set the tone early, converting a penalty in the 13th minute to give the hosts the lead. Al Khaleej levelled almost immediately through Joshua King, finishing off a Konstantinos Fortounis assist in the 18th minute. The hosts retook control when Khaled Narey restored the lead on the hour mark, assisted by Bassogog. Abdulaziz Al-Hatila then sealed it in the 90+4th minute, latching onto another Narey assist to make it 3-1. The closing stages were feisty, with five yellow cards spread across both sides including late bookings for Giorgos Masouras and Mansour Hamzi. Already relegated to the Yelo League before kick-off, Al Okhdood at least signed off with a statement win. Gustavo Poyet's Al Khaleej will rue a sloppy second half that completely undid their hard-earned equaliser.
