Match Report
Al Ahli SC delivered a commanding performance at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium on Sunday, sweeping Al Okhdood aside 4-0 in Matchday 31 of the Saudi Pro League. The hosts were relentless from the off, with three goals already bagged before the referee blew for half-time.
Valentin Atangana opened the scoring in the 26th minute to settle any early nerves, before Franck Kessié took centre stage with a clinical brace on 36 and 43 minutes. Al Okhdood's afternoon went from bad to worse when Hussain Al-Zabdani was sent off for serious foul play on the stroke of half-time. Playing with ten men, the visitors offered little in return, and Feras Al-Brikan made it four in the 72nd minute, capping a polished team display.
The result lifts Al Ahli SC to 69 points and keeps their top-three ambitions very much alive. For a beleaguered Al Okhdood side that mustered just three shots all game, another heavy defeat only deepens a troubling run of away-day misery.
