Match Report

Fatih Karagümrük came from behind to beat Alanyaspor 2-1 at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium on Saturday, in a tense Trendyol Süper Lig Round 34 clash. Sam Larsson was the match-winner, scoring twice to turn what looked like a home defeat into three vital points. Meschack Elia gave the visitors the lead in the 32nd minute, finishing from a Florent Hadergjonaj assist to leave Karagümrük chasing. Larsson leveled matters almost immediately after the restart, converting a Barış Kalaycı setup in the 47th minute. The Swede then stepped up to complete his brace from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute, after VAR confirmed that Shavy Babicka had been fouled inside the area. The result is huge for Karagümrük, who were sitting in the relegation zone and desperately needed the win. Alanyaspor, secure in mid-table, will be left frustrated after surrendering a lead they worked hard to establish.
