Match Report
Kasimpasa claimed a vital 2-0 win over Kayserispor in a Super Lig relegation six-pointer, but it was goalkeeper Gianniotis who stole the show with a stunning goal from near his own penalty area — one of the most remarkable moments in Turkish top-flight history.
Benedyczak opened the scoring in the 11th minute, latching onto a pass from Diabate and finishing smartly from the left side. The hosts took that slim lead into the break before Gianniotis doubled it in the 66th minute with an outrageous long-range effort that sailed over Kayserispor keeper Bilal and into the net.
The closing stages saw Kasimpasa's Cafu sent off with a red card in the 90th minute, but it mattered little by then.
The three points lift Kasimpasa to 27 points, opening up a four-point cushion over Kayserispor, who remain rooted on 23 points and deep in relegation trouble with ten games left to play.
