Paul Onuachu wrote his name into the Trabzonspor history books once again, netting the only goal in a 1-0 home win over Rizespor at Papara Park. The Nigerian striker's 51st-minute finish extended his scoring streak to eight consecutive league games — a feat not achieved at the club since the 1991-92 season. It was a tight first half with neither side able to break the deadlock, but Onuachu needed just six minutes after the restart to find the net. Rizespor grew frustrated as the game wore on, picking up yellow cards through Giannis Papanikolaou (70') and Valentin Mihaila (81') as they chased an equaliser that never came. The goal was Onuachu's 40th for the club, making him Trabzonspor's third-highest scoring foreign player of all time.
