Match Report
A stoppage-time Vangelis Pavlidis penalty rescued a 2-2 draw for Benfica against Braga at Estádio da Luz, capping a frantic finish that swung in every direction. Fredrik Schjelderup was the standout performer, a constant menace down the left — and a Schjelderup strike was also ruled out earlier by VAR.
Rafa Silva opened the scoring just after the break, but Pau Víctor levelled quickly for Braga. The visitors edged ahead when Jean-Baptiste Gorby struck in the 87th minute, only for Schjelderup to win a penalty in the dying seconds that Pavlidis calmly converted.
The draw still proved costly for Benfica, who slipped to third with 77 points as Sporting leapfrogged them into second on 79 after winning elsewhere. Braga sit fourth on 58 points, while Benfica's grip on a Champions League place looks fragile heading into the final matchday.
