Match Report

Levante pulled off a stunning away comeback at Estadio Balaídos, defeating Celta Vigo 3-2 in a breathless La Liga encounter on Tuesday. Ferrán Jutglà gave the hosts an early dream start, but the visitors showed remarkable resolve to turn the game completely on its head. Jutglà had Celta in front inside the fourth minute, assisted by Hugo Álvarez. Levante levelled just before the break through Kervin Arriaga (43'). Jutglà struck again three minutes into the second half (48') to restore the home side's lead — but that only seemed to wake the visitors up. Adrián de la Fuente equalised in the 57th minute before Roger Brugué completed the turnaround with a 63rd-minute winner, as Levante collected two yellow cards in an increasingly heated finish. The loss stings for Celta Vigo, who stay sixth but miss a chance to solidify their European push. For Levante, rooted in 19th place with just 36 points, these three points could be invaluable in their relegation survival fight.
