Sevilla kept their survival hopes very much alive with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. Veteran substitute Alexis Sánchez was the unlikely hero, providing a moment of quality in an otherwise tense, grinding contest. Sánchez broke the deadlock in the 47th minute, latching onto a clever ball from Neal Maupay and finishing calmly into the far corner.
