CA Osasuna vs Sevilla
Match Report
Osasuna snatched a thrilling 2-1 victory over Sevilla at El Sadar on Sunday, with Alejandro Catena's stoppage-time goal in the 99th minute sending the Pamplona crowd into delirium and completing a stunning comeback.
It was Sevilla who broke the deadlock, Neal Maupay finishing neatly in the 69th minute to give the visitors the lead against the run of play. Osasuna had been the better side throughout — dominating with 61% possession and four big chances to Sevilla's one — and levelled through Raúl García de Haro in the 80th minute. Then, deep into added time, Catena delivered the decisive blow to seal all three points, earning himself the player-of-the-match award with a rating of 8.2.
The defeat is a painful one for Sevilla, who remain 18th and locked in a desperate relegation fight. Osasuna, comfortably mid-table in 10th, showed once again why El Sadar is one of La Liga's most hostile away grounds.
