Villarreal snatched a dramatic late point at Mendizorroza as Nicolas Pépé struck deep into stoppage time to earn a 1-1 draw against Alavés in La Liga's Round 28 Friday night fixture. The hosts took a first-half lead when Villarreal defender Rafa Marín turned the ball into his own net on 40 minutes. Alavés dug in defensively after the break but picked up four yellow cards as the contest grew increasingly fractious.
