Match Report
Borussia Dortmund pulled off a remarkable second-half comeback to beat Hamburger SV 3-2 at Signal Iduna Park, overturning a two-goal deficit on Bundesliga Matchday 27. Half-time substitute Ramy Bensebaini was the hero, converting twice from the spot to drag his side back from the brink.
Hamburg had looked in complete control after Philip Otele (19') and Albert Sambi Lokonga (38') gave the visitors a deserved cushion at the break. Felix Nmecha missed a penalty just before half-time, firing wide of the post, and Dortmund looked rattled heading down the tunnel.
Manager Niko Kovač threw on Bensebaini and Serhou Guirassy at the interval, and both proved decisive. Bensebaini converted from the spot on 73 minutes after a William Mikelbrencis foul, Guirassy bundled in an equaliser in the 79th, and Bensebaini completed the turnaround from the penalty spot again on 84 minutes following a Miro Muheim handball.
The victory keeps Dortmund locked into second place, while Hamburg will be left wondering how they let a dominant first-half display slip through their fingers.
