Olympique Marseille vs OGC Nice

A late penalty from Wahi denied Marseille all three points as Nice snatched a 1-1 draw at the Orange Vélodrome on Sunday night. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg had given the hosts the lead with a fine diving header in the 68th minute, but substitute Mmadi — on since the 62nd — conceded the spot-kick that Wahi coolly converted in the 86th. Balerdi then squandered a gilt-edged chance to restore the lead two minutes later, and Greenwood's stoppage-time strike was comfortably held by the Nice keeper. The closing stages were all drama but no payoff for the home side. For Marseille, sitting sixth on 52 points, the dropped points sting in a tight European qualification race — both Rennes and Lille remain ahead of them. Nice will take the draw gratefully; it keeps Roberto De Zerbi's former employers three points clear of the relegation zone with the run-in looming.
